Camilla's new novel, The Beauty of Humanity Movement, has just been released.

Camilla's last novel, Sweetness in the Belly, was shortlisted for the 2005 Giller Prize, won the 2005 Trillium Award and was longlisted for the 2007 Dublin IMPAC Literary Award.

Foreign editions are available in the US, the UK, Australia/New Zealand, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, France, Serbia, Indonesia and Israel.

Her second novel, The Petty Details of So-and-so's Life, was first published by Doubleday Canada in August 2002. The book was a national bestseller and was selected by the Globe and Mail as one of the "Best Books of the Year."

Foreign editions of Petty are available in the UK/Australia and New Zealand, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Norway, Greece and Hungary.

Camilla's debut novel, Mouthing the Words, was first published by Pedlar Press in September 1999. Both the Globe and Mail and Now Magazine, selected Mouthing as one of the "Best Books of the Year." In 2000, Camilla was awarded the City of Toronto Book Award for this novel, an award with a distinguished list of previous recipients including Margaret Atwood, Anne Michaels, and Michael Ondaatje. In 2001 she was named to the "Orange Futures List" - a list of 21 young writers to watch compiled by the jury of the prestigious Orange Prize.

Short Stories

Camilla's short story, "Where We Gather at Night," published in Maisonneuve Magazine's summer 2007 issue has been nominated for a 2008 National Magazine Award.

Her short story "Between Wars," was the 2001 winner of the CBC Canadian Literary Award for short fiction.
